The Biodiversity of Assam, a state in North-East India, makes it a biological hotspot with many rare and endemic plant and animal species. Few of the major birds in Assam are: Blue-throated Barbet or Hetuluka (Megalaima asiatica), the White-winged Wood Duck or Deuhnah (Cairina scultulata), the Ring-tailed Fishing Eagle or Kuruwa (Haliaeetus leucorythus), the Great Pied Hornbill or Rajdhonesh (Buceros bicornis homrai), the Himalayan Golden-backed Three-toed Wood-pecker or Barhoituka (Dinopium shorii shorii), and the Migratory Pelicans.

Day 1: Arrival/ Guwahati

Day 2: Guwahati - Deepor Beel - Guwahati

In the morning set out to visit Deepor Beel which is in a short distance from the Guwahati city. This famous destination of mystifying India is well known for the bird sanctuary here. This sanctuary in Assam homes around 120 species of birds including kingfishers, adjutant storks, fishing eagles and many more varieties. Many water birds are found in the lake here. Some of them are Ferruginous Pochard, Grey-headed lapwing, Greater and Lesser Adjutants, Water Cock, Cinnamon Bittern, Fulvous whistling-duck and Greater Painted-snipe etc. overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3: Guwahati - Pobitora

In the Morning drive to Pobitora which is about 50 km from Guwahati. Pobitora is a popular attraction of mystifying India among the nature lovers. The small wild life sanctuary of Assam which has an area of 38.8 sq km homes numerous species of birds and wild animals like the Asiatic Buffalo, Leopard, Wild bear, civet cat, etc. are also seen here. For bird watchers the presence of highly endangered species of birds like Rufous-vented Prinia and Swamp Prinia (burnesii) Cinerascens, makes this destination of Assam a favorite location. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Pobitora - Kaziranga National Park

In the morning drive to Kaziranga National Park, a world famous wild life sanctuary of mystifying India. The main attraction of this Park of Assam is the great one horned Indian Rhinoceros. Other wild attractions include Indian Elephants, Indian Bison, Swamp Deer, Hog Deer, Tigers, Leopard Cats, Jungle Cats, Otters, Hog Badgers, Wild Boar, Jackal, Wild Buffalo, Pythons, Monitor Lizards, etc. This park is a famous destination of bird watchers due to the numerous variety of bird life found here. Some of them are the Oriental Honey Buzzard, Black-Shouldered Kite, Black Kite, Brahminy Kite, Pallas's Fishing Eagle, White Tailed Eagle, Grey-Headed Fishing Eagle, Himalayan Griffon, etc. Greylag Geese, Bar-Headed Geese, Ruddy Shelduck, Gadwall, Falcated Duck, Red-Crested Pochard and Northern Shoveller are some of the migratory birds those visit this Park during winter season.

Day 5: Kaziranga National Park - Panbari Reserve Forest - Kaziranga National Park

In the morning drive to Panbari Reserve Forest located near the Kaziranga National Park. This Reserve Forest of Assam is visited by nature lovers and bird watchers due to the vast variety of birds, plants and trees found here. Asian Fairy Bluebird and Black-crested Bulbul are the commonly found birds here. Abbott and Puff-throated Babblers, Pale-chinned Flycatcher, Oriental and Great Hornbills, Crested Goshawk, Pied Falconet, Great Indian Hornbill, Speckled Piculet, Inornate Warbler, Slaty-bellied Tesia, Rufous-gorgeted Flycatcher and Crow-billed Drongo are among the variety of bird life present here. Evening back to the hotel.

Day 6: Kaziranga National Park - Dibru-Saikhowa WildLife Sanctuary

Set out to visit the Dibru-Saikhowa Wildlife Sanctuary, another destination of mystifying India. Marsh Babbler, Babbler, Black-throated Parrotbill, Rufous-vented Prinia and Bushchat are some of the bird life found here.

Day 7: Dibru-Saikhowa WildLife Sanctuary - Namdapha National Park

Morning go for visiting Namdapha National Park. Blyth Tragopan, Wardsa Trogon, Rufous necked Hornbill, Blue-Naped Pitta, Wedge-billed wren Babbler, Snowy throated Babbler and beautiful Nuthatch are attracting bird watchers to this Park of mystifying India.

Day 8: Namdapha National Park - Digboi

The Indian Oil Cooperation has set up the nature reserve in Digboi. The flora and fauna in and around this oilfield is safely preserved here. Many varieties of birds like Orient, White-Checked Partridge, Grey Peacock Pheasant and Wreathed Hornbill etc are found here.

Day 9: Digboi - Guwahati

Drive back to Guwahati. On arrival move to hotel and relax.
